Initial Consultation
At your initial consultation, you will meet with Dr. Joel Alper who will do a thorough review of your medical and dental history. Dr. Joel will then give you a comprehensive dental examination and oral cancer screening (including any necessary x-rays), explain your diagnosis, present you with treatment options, and recommend a solution to restore your oral health. Afterwards, Dr. Joel will discuss your examination and treatment plan with your restorative dentist.
Please bring the following to your initial consultation:
• A referral slip (if you have one) from your restorative dentist
• Any recent x-rays
• A list of medications you are currently taking

Privacy Practices
Notice of Privacy Practices (HIPAA)
Please inform Dr. Alper’s staff if you have any medical conditions that could affect your treatment (i.e. artificial heart valves and/or joints, rheumatic fever, diabetes, etc.) or if you currently take medications that could affect your treatment (ie. aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, Fosamax, etc.). And please follow your physician’s instructions regarding any necessary pre-medications.

Hours
Alper Periodontics & Implants is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 am until 5 pm. Office visits are available on Tuesday, Thursday. The Doctor is on call seven days a week. If you experience discomfort or have an emergency during non-office hours, please call our office.
Insurance
If you have dental insurance, our knowledgeable staff will help you navigate the insurance process to ensure you receive the maximum benefits. Please bring your insurance information to your initial consultation so that we may expedite the processing of your insurance claim. You may also fill out the insurance forms ahead of time by clicking here. Please then bring the completed forms with you to your consultation.

For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards and offer a variety of financing options for your treatments. Please contact our office for further information.
